onuma park

After our first 2 weeks, HIF thought it would be fun to take us to a nearby national park and relax. If you look at the map, you can see the hotel where stayed, buggy car course at the right, and giant sports slider above that. Yeah, it was pretty swEEET!!!!

Here's everyone waiting at a hotel next to the Hakodate JR station (japan rail station, its on the map of hakodate on previous post). Where's our freakin bUs! O_o

Fukuhisa san taking role, she is such a sweet person, its like everyone at HIF is our second mother.

Driving driving driving...............

Lunch break somewhere near park

And I seriously honestly deeply can't believe that we didn't do this. There's like 50 people on that bike. looks pretty tight, not going to lie.

Some trail signs, the warning on the bottom is pretty funny. It says if you gotta go, please hold it! MUHAHAHHAHA

Some sort of lily, its pretty and so I took a picture! :D

One of the numerous bridges we crossed, we basically just island hopped around this area before the park. Peggie and samik here.

A random nice shot of the numerous bodies of water around.

Our hotel room, traditional with futons, I didn't sleep at all that night!

Me buggy car racing with richler, tokyo drift style. Yeah, look at me leaning on that turn

Giant slide time!

Its like a pulley system where they pull you up the top and you just slide with a hand brake if needed.

Its pretty F**KIN FAST!!!!!! By the way, when you do these type of dangerous activities, you don't need to sign waiver forms. when we ask them about that, they said to do stuff at your own risk, meaning if you fall off the slide and hurt yourself or flip over on the buggy cars, its your PRObLEM. :P

Our hotel

Dinner with everybody.

a big dinner with everybody, i managed to finish mine, and some else's leftovers! yeah, j food rocks! Lots of sashimi, sukiyaki, and other stuff i dont even know...........

Every class had to perform a song, we sang a song about ginjiskan (grilled lamb), the lyrics are stupidly fast so barely anyone could actually sing it.

We also had individual performances, ballet by caitlin and break dancing by vincent.

And yes, i once again sang sakura by moriyama naotaro. Everyone in the crowd was really into it! So emotional..........

For the rest of the evening, we did karaoke, drank sake, and went into the onsen! we were NAKED!!!!!

That's it for now, a LOT MORE TO COME!

an average day in Hakodate!

I've decided that blogging is a bIg PAIN in the BUTT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

But whatever, I haven't blogged in ages and people are probably wondering what I have been up to. First, I thought it would be a great idea to give everyone a better perspective of where I am and what goes down on a regular basis. If you look at the above map, you have to fly from Tokyo (Haneda Airport) to Hakodate (Hakodate Airport).

A closer look at Hokkaido and Hakodate.

A city map of hakodate, I drew out a path and numbered locations in red so you can follow along with the pictures below.

The few pics are at location 1, looking at my bedroom window when I wake up. I can see the kids playing baseball and the ocean, such a nice feeling...... <(^_^)>

me and Eli eating breakfast. Check out that coleslaw dressing, YUMMY!

Gettin ready for school, we cook, shower, shave, and brush in the kitchen, okasan is behind me.

Finally, a pic of our temple.

Location number 2! Aoyagi tram stop.

Hakodate Koen(park). Location 3

location 4, me flying down the hill on my bike (while taking pictures). Yeah, its a little abunai (dangerous!)

Big intersection at Location 5, with a big red tori gate at top of hill (I think there's a huge graveyard back there). You can see hakodate mountain as well.

Location 6, big temple we pass by everyday. It would be soooooooooooOOOOOOO convenient if I lived here, so close to school.

Location 7, me pushing my bike up the hill to HIF. Stupid hill! DAIKIRAI!

Itou Sensei and us having class outside at a nearby park. She treated us all to softcream afterwards, she's sooooooooooooo sweet :)

Cafeteria menu, yeah some of the stuff is spelled pretty funny.

Location 8, that orange/red sign at top right is the coop supermarket, were we get out cheap obentos, if you all remember, from my last post, same place where all the locals were gathering at the entrance right before it opens. And the building on the left side...........

Is the internet cafe (machizukuri center) where a lot of us likes to chill and do hw.

Location 9, riding my bike up a baka hill!

Aoyagi tram stop again, man do I want a pizza soOOOO badly! :(

Then again, by the last tram stop, nearby our temple, is a 100 yen(basically a dollar) softcream shop. Total awesomeness.....its a great way to end a day.

more to come
